The “X-files”

Have you ever experienced the unexplained? I get goose bump as I read the article in the star headlined, Baby spirited from her womb. Let me share with you someone’s experience of the unexplained in my presence. If you have a history of heart attack, don’t read further…

The year was 1999. KP and I just got married and we were so excited to shift into our very first home in Kota Kemuning. Once the house keys were ready for collection, we wasted no time to renovate and furnished it. We shifted in within 3 months and had a simple house warming. Our house was among the early phases in Kota Kemuning and we were the 2nd house of the road to be occupied, our opposite neighbour, the Cheng family being the first. It was always very, very quiet especially at night. We did enjoy the privacy though..hmm.. can do whatever we like at the living room without any nosy eyes..emoticon

KP was always outstation, leaving me all by myself most of the time. So you could imagine my joy when KP’s best friend, his wife and their then 2 years old daughter visited me one night. It was 8 something. We had dinner at my house and by the time we settled down, it was almost 10.00pm. As we chit chatted at my cosy living room, out of sudden, their daughter started to cry and pointed outside my house saying that there was a "jie-jie" looking at her.. (Oh boy, my goose bump is not co-operating with me as I type this….). She cried uncontrollably and the parents wanted to go back immediately. As I sent them off to their car, the daughter looked far at the dark road and said, "bye-bye, jie-jie". And I did not dare to even wink my eyes throughout that very night as I slept alone in the big master bedroom….

Pass forward to today, 100% of the houses at our road have been occupied. Touch wood, we haven’t had any experience with the 3rd kind ourselves. And neither do we hear about any spooky stories in the neighbourhood. Just a few days ago, the little girl (she’s 9 now)’s mother told me that her daughter used to see spirits everywhere until she reached age 3. So what happened at my house then was normal for her. (Hmm… why didn’t she tell me then??)

Sometimes it is just unexplanable. She may be just having an imagination, but then she sounded so real. How about adults? If an adult told you a similar story, we may think that he/she is hallucinating, and send to Tanjung Rambutan. But our retired Marketing Director used to tell us his spooky experiences in hotels, especially in Bangkok.  I wouldn’t want to re-enact the stories here.

If you have any paranormal experiences, do share with me. Somehow I believe there is always a scientific explanation on those happenings. Do you actually believe ghosts exist? If you don’t believe, would you dare to go to a cemetery at 12 midnight all by yourself? Think about it. And for those of you who have a brave heart and dying to satisfy your curiousity, visit here theShadowlands to evaluate yourselves, whether there is really a 3rd kind out there…
