Yet another challenging day

June 15, 2006

Went to office early this morning to apply for a couple of hours off today to send the kids to schools cause my BIG BB had a high fever. Then rush to meet up my mentor to collect some stuff from him, then rushed back to office to attend an important meeting with the top guys.

The meeting didn’t go well, and left the meeting room feeling worse than ever. Towards noon, I started to shiver and felt feverish.. Oh no.. hubby’s virus!! After lunch, fever developed and couldn’t concentrate much on work. Afternoon meeting was canceled, so I took a short rest at the company clinic and thought I called it an early day.

Just when I reached home, I heard Little J screaming.. "I don’t want, i don’t want". He didn’t want to take shower. My most good-natured 3 years old toddler is recently so clingy and has been throwing tantrums for no reason. Oh.. not today.. I was thinking while trying hard to pacify him.

Thank God my fever had subsided by then.. without any panadol!! Hmmm.. the anti-oxidant and chelated mineral which I have been taking works well afterall..

Juggling between family, a stressful, long hour, full time career and a newly-ventured business, 24 hours do not seem to be enough for me. As I was feeling depressed, a small, handy book the size of a passport caught my eyes. One of the excerpts by Brian Tracy says, "You cannot increase the quality or quantity of your achievement or performance except to the degree in which you increase your ability to use your time effectively"

Hmm.. I can be a superwoman after all..All I need is to plan out my time effectively and use every second productively. No challenge is too daunting.. no goal is too distant.
